International Seminar in Tokyo for Tackling Illegal Logging,2007
- Response of the world to the Procurement Policies of Japan -

Conference rooms at Tokyo Big Sight

To address the global problem of illegal logging, the Japanese government started to implement measures to prioritize products made from raw material of timber that is proven to be legal and sustainable for its procurements from April 2006.
Under these circumstances, Japan Federation of Wood Industry Associations (JFWIA)is planning to hold a seminar to discuss the way how to tackling illegal logging and verification on Legality and Sustainability of Wood and Wood Products, attended by ten invited speakers both from overseas and Japan, and a number of other people who are interceded in this issue.
